The shortcut to change text formatting to XML is close to some shortcut that requires Cygwin installation and E constantly bugs me with offer to install Cygwin
Can I
a) remap shortcuts
b) disable offer to install Cygwin forever
?
Thank you |

| What's the shortcut you're accidentally hitting? Do you know what command it corresponds with? |

I am hitting ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+X instead of ALT+WIN+SHIFT+X
What I would really like is to change shortcut for "Set Syntax as XML" ALT+WIN+SHIFT+X to something else.
I never played piano when I was a kid, so hitting 4-key shortcuts is quite challenging for me |

There's no remapping of keys in E. You can, however, use AutoHotKey (http://www.autohotkey.com/) to remap any key you want to whatever you want, whenever you want (like when the E window has focus). It will take some time to learn AutoHotKey but it's so worth it once you do.
Also, there is no piano. |

Actually, this key binding you can remap.
Go to the Bundle menu and open the Bundle Editor.
Expand the XML tab on the left.
Double click the XML item that has a black and white L next to it.
In the bottom of the editor, there should be an Activation text field that lets you change it.
Also, native support for customizable keyboard shortcuts are coming soon. I'm more than halfway there on it, although I probably saved the hard parts for last. |

Since I have your attention for a moment, maybe you could tell me how to improve another small visual issue.
If feels that the space between text and line numbers (left screen margin) is way too small - only one pixel. I know that it is the same as on Notepad++ and couple other editors, but the black vertical line that separates line numbers and text makes it harder to "visually" comprehend text. Notepad++ does not have this vertical black line and it "feels" OK. Standard Windows Notepad.exe left screen margin is ~3 pixels and it "feels" OK too.
Is there any way to increase spacing between text and line numbers panel? Or remove vertical black line that separates line numbers and text? Preferably both

No, not really.
Well, I assume u mean the dark one pixel line on the right side of the line numbers at least.
You can always add a space at the beginning of every line :- )
Also, I use the Cobalt theme. It has a dark background, so then you don't even notice the dark line anymore. |
